Filter advice. I understand this model does have a lint filter but it does not appear to have been designed to need cleaning since access requires major disassembly to access the filter. Yesterday while washing a blanket it disintegrated into tiny pieces so my first thought was to clean a filter, then started looking for a lint filter. There is no agitator so i suspect everything washed through since full cycle was completed and the other items were basically dry as normal. So my question is does this filter get cleaned or simply replaced, and what are the consequences of lint going through the filter. Does it drain out or is there something else it can affect? Thanks,
For model number MVWX655DW1
Hi Michael,Thank you for your question. There is a lint filter listed for your washer. The part number listed under your model number for the lint filter is FIX11750500. The filter is under the basket in the bottom of the outer tub assembly. You will need to remove the basket and agitator to get to the filter. The filter is held in place by screws. If the filter is nor cleaned, then water will not drain properly from the washer and your clothes will be full of lint. It should be cleaned or replaced. If you need help placing an order for it, customer service is open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

My Maytag washing machine will not agitate during the wash/rinse cycle and it will not drain completely at the end of the cycle. The clothes come out soaked. I hear the motor turn like it is trying to agitate but the clothes won’t get totally clean. I have replaced the actuator, gear case, belt, and capacitor. None of these fixed the problem. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I push start button: It begins Sensing, I return later to remove clothes from washer; the Wash LED is still on, instead of the Done LED. What could cause this. Thank You...

My washer starts filling with water then after about 10 seconds the water stops and I hear a humming noise
For model number MVWX655DW1
Hello Jake, thank you for your inquiry. The issue is a water intake or water flow problem. This means that the water valves, hoses, and even the valve filter may be at fault. Make sure water inlet hoses are not bent. Check the water inlet valve screens for clog. If all checks are fine, you will need to test the water inlet valves, part number PS12348073, and PS12348074, using a multimeter, and replace the faulty one. We hope this solves your problem!
